Its proximity to the sea and the largest car sales market in Italy, along with a port that can serve as a gateway to Northern Europe thanks to the railway network, makes Vado the ideal context for developing our services, offering unparalleled advantages.

STRATEGIC POSITION

We aim to fill a crucial gap in the Italian logistics framework. Liguria has always been strategical for maritime routes from the Mediterranean and the Far East, a natural and direct crossroads for flows directed towards Northern Italy and Europe. VLV benefits from a key position, situated in a backport area with easy access to the main highways to Genoa, Turin, and Milan.
Covering approximately 120,000 square meters of state-of-the-art facilities, VLV can currently accommodate up to 6,000 vehicles in a secure area with optimal rail and road connections, ensuring efficient logistics operations.

The gateway for the European market

Thanks to the railway connections at the Reefer Terminal and in our VLV compound, VLV is the gateway to the European market, offering an alternative to Northern ports with lower risk of damage. The Port of Vado Ligure can receive both container ships at the APM terminal, and the largest Ro-Ro ships at the Reefer Terminal, intercepting flows from the main Mediterranean routes. This ensures:

The strategic position allows for shorter average distances to Northwestern Italy as well as Europe.

The availability of tracks in the terminals of Vado and Savona or internal tracks in the compound, as well as proximity to final delivery points, allows for lower CO2 emissions.

UP-TO-DATE DEPOT

Our yard is specifically designed for the automotive industry, facilitating the storage and transport of vehicles of all types. We ensure rapid unloading and loading times, with car transporter access controlled by a management system that allows slot booking to avoid waiting times.
Vehicles are constantly monitored and maintained for long-term storage according to the standards of major OEMs.

EV

Our compound is equipped with AC and DC charging stations for electric vehicles and mobile charging solutions that avoid forced vehicle movements due to breakdowns.

CUSTOMS AREA

VLV has a customs area (31,000 square meters) dedicated to receiving vehicles from non-EU Countries.
Thanks to the companies of our partner Fratelli Cosulich, we can offer all services for document management from unloading to delivery of the vehicles to the final customer.
